Outdoor climbing practice areas
The well-known "Masarach" climbing practice area is located in Val d'Arzino, in the area of Vito d'Asio in Anduins to be more precise. Here aspiring climbers can try to climb the rock following over 40 routes, fixed with iron steps, of different levels of difficulty.
The practice area was established in 1985 when Bianco Leon drove the first nail into the rock while attempting to climb that part of the wall that would later become the FirstRoute, still considered today as the benchmark for those who start climbing.
As a result of the problems he faced, Bianco Leon immediately stepped down in favour of Nico Valla and Teresa Pasutto, who were on the lookout for climbing walls at the time and understood straight away the enormous potential of the area. They immediately began to explore the areas and, with the help of the emerging club club Ragni del Masarach, spitted and partly resinized something like 1200 routes. The different levels of difficulty of the practise wall are expressed in U.I.A.A. grades, ranging from 30 to 90, which meet the needs of both amateurs and professionals.

A breathtaking climb
C limbers have a large parking space at their disposal and can camp and have something to eat and drink at the clu "Ragni del Masarach". Visitors can climb all year round because it is a south-facing wall.
Experienced climbers can climb the six classic ropes of the "Gina" route or visit the spurs of the upper mountain, following the fully equipped path of the "Luigino Turri" route, a magnificent observation point above the gorge of the River Arzino. The "Club dei Ragni" is responsible for another two smaller practise walls, situated nearby: "Lis Aganis" and "Por di Martin", which are more suitable for beginners.
The practice area is located in Vito d'Asio, in the Anduins area.

Speleology
Caves are an amazing world, waiting to be discovered. There are stalactites, stalagmites, columns, concretions of all shapes and sizes, formed by springs and underground rivers. This is what brings the speleologists of the Pradis Group to explore and study the caves and this underground world. The Group, which has celebrated its 40th anniversary, runs activities mostly in the karstic area of Pradis, on Mount Ciaurlèc and Mount Canin.
Fifteen new caves were discovered, explored and studied in the course of 2006 – they have been partly included in the new book, "1966-2006 Forty years of the Pradis Speleological Group", presented at the 40th anniversary. Teaching, training and preservation of the hypogeum world are some of the tasks that the group carries out during the year. Activities designed to introduce young people and visitors to cave exploration have been carried out by the Group.

A young explorer...
Every year, since 1967, Christmas Mass is celebrated in the Green Cave of Pradis on the night of the 24th of December. Tradition has it that the speleologists escort baby Jesus, who is lowered from the vault into the cave, to the altar and then to the nativity laid out in the cave.

Bathing areas
There are many places on the banks of the rivers and torrents that cross the Val d’Arzino valleys where one can seek relief from hot summers. Certainly one of the most famous and pleasant spots is "Cjaliane", close to the River Arzino, reached by a short pathway starting from Casiacco in Val Tramontina. It is also worth mentioning the area of "Sottrivea", equipped for picnics and barbecues – this is in Tramonti di Sopra not far from the main town on the River Meduna.
