The Val Cosa ravine

How to get there:
From Castelnuovo del Friuli one can follow the main road towards Clauzetto going past the hamlet of Mulinars. After approximately 1,200 metres past the dam, close to a bridge, take the left towards Raunia and continue until the end of the road where there is a private residence (399 meters, good parking facilities, a road sign bearing the wording: “Sentiero del Cosa attrezzato per Pradis") (Valley of Cosa equipped pathway to Pradis).

Along the ridge of mount Taieit from the Piani di Gerchia

How to get there:
From Clauzetto along the road towards Pradis and Campone, you can see, to the right of the quarry (via delle Cave), the road sign indicating the trail markings of the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) No. 820. It is possible to park one hundred metres further along on the left, where the path to Ciaurlec begins. (669 meters)

Monte Pala (Mount Pala)

How to get there:
From Clauzetto, follow the directions for Pradis di Sopra and you will soon reach the fork for Zuanier and Rope (there’s a sign). After taking this turning one goes past a sharp bend and also past the small village of Rope. Then comes another fork in the road where there is parking space. (802 metres, no trail markings)

Historic Pathway of the Battle of Pradis

How to get there:
From Pinzano al Tagliamento or from Flagogna, one can get onto the road leading to Anduins. From there it is possible to drive along the Val d’Arzino carriageway for about 9 km until one sees direction indications for Pielungo on the left. Once the small hamlet has been reached, it is just a matter of heading towards the church, which stands in Piazza Conte Giacomo Ceconi (the central square), where parking is easy to find. (466 meters)

How to get there:

Tour of Pieve d'Asio

Along about 14 km, through Pradis di Sopra and Mont Vit, it brings us up to Vito d'Asio, ancient church and in Clauzetto, along a path not too demanding and endowed with remarkable sights.
After the forest and the forest under the parking lot of caves we crossed the tarmac of Cocchius you turn left for about 100 meters until you turn right on the steep dirt road (The Friar) that goes up the woods.
After the forest and the town These, we arrive at the starting point of the white road of Mions (1.0 km Agaries locations), we take it and leads us into places Omenars (2.6 km) where you turn right past the church of the Crucifix and after reaching about 500 meters at the junction to the upstream Pala from which we continue uphill to the left.
At the first bend in the locality Zuaniers (3.2 km), turn right the way to the Mont Vit. Following the slope above Clauzetto, we enjoy a sweeping view of the valley and arrive to cross the stables of Spignons, at an altitude of 742 meters, the highest point of our tour. You enter the territory of the municipality of Vito d'Asio, turn left at the first intersection (km 6.5) and right to the next (7.4 km) coming to the monument of the mountain and then descending rapidly to the parish of St. Michele Arcangelo (km 8,8) we leave on our right. Continuing in the home of Vito d'Asio, after about 200 meters, we go up the grass on the right and we enter the beautiful trail that leads us in the shade of the forest to the pievde S. Martino d'Asio (9.6 km) .

From the church the paved road takes us back to the ring road of Clauzetto we will follow right through Ribons, until it finds its signs to the ancient paths, along the valley road, we will follow up in places Pezzettes (12.6 km) and then on the provincial Pradis for up to overcome (to our left) of the ancona Vaganins and take, after 100 meters, the mule tract that leads us to overcome the rio Molat (13.6 km) on a bridge in correspondence of a waterfall feature. Taking the asphalt on the left we return to Pradis Caves.
